A mission of mercy

Evangelization and formation

The Eudist mission renews faith, prepares pastors, and puts compassion into practice among people most in need.

Renewing faith

Eudists proclaim the Gospel and work to renew the faith of God’s people. They also help awaken vocations and form and serve the priests and other ministers the Church needs.

Mercy in action

The mission joins the proclamation of the Gospel with particular care for people who are poor or unheard. Eudist communities share the hopes, joys, sufferings, and anxieties of those among whom they live.

John Eudes, a missionary of compassion

John Eudes cared for the sick, including during epidemics, accompanied the dying, and served prisoners. For nearly fifty years he preached parish missions, especially in rural areas, with concern for people who were poor or marginalized.

A spirituality expressed in service

The spirituality of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary leads to practical works of mercy. Evangelization, formation, and compassionate service remain connected in the Eudist mission.
