Baptism and vocation
A call to holiness
Saint John Eudes presents holiness as the calling of every Christian, not only priests or people in religious communities. Through baptism, we become God’s children, receive divine grace, belong to Christ and the Church, and are guided by the Holy Spirit and nourished by the Eucharist.
Holiness through grace and love
Human weakness does not place holiness beyond reach: God gives grace to those who ask. Loving God and one another in Christ is the way toward holiness. Love reshapes the person who loves; to love God is also to cherish what God cherishes, offer the heart to God, and live by the Gospel and its obligations.
An invitation
The call is both personal and communal. Each person is invited to answer God through daily life and to take a step toward holiness.
